Position Overview
Five Q is seeking a Digital Marketing Coordinator to work for the Digital Growth Team. Initially this will be with our Senior Digital Strategist, but could expand to include others in the Digital Growth Team. This role exists to reduce strategic workload and build capacity for Five Q to scale our marketing retainers sustainably. You'll take ownership of execution-level marketing work across multiple client accounts while continuously improving our processes.
No prior marketing experience required. We'll train you on the platforms and processes. What we need is someone who can absorb training quickly, execute independently, and naturally look for ways to streamline repetitive work. You'll be given patterns and processes - your job is to follow them reliably and make them better each time.
Duties and Responsibilities
Client Execution (60-70% of time)
- Execute email marketing campaigns in MailChimp following established templates
- Create and optimize landing pages
- Schedule and monitor social media content
- Support SEO initiatives including keyword research and content optimization
- Handle platform-specific tasks as assigned
- Assist with Google Analytics setup and monitoring across client accounts
Process & AI Optimization (30-40% of time)
- Master and refine Claude AI projects for content creation and workflow automation
- Develop and maintain prompt libraries for repetitive marketing tasks
- Create templates, checklists, and process documentation
- Standardize workflows across client accounts
- Identify automation opportunities
- Prepare meeting materials and maintain project documentation in Teamwork
Content Creation
- Write and edit marketing content using AI tools and established brand guidelines
- Conduct research to support content strategy
- Perform quality review of AI-generated content before delivery
- Maintain content calendars and tracking systems
Qualifications
Skills Required
- Self-directed execution: Track record of taking minimal instruction and running with it
- Process improvement mindset: Natural tendency to document, standardize, and optimize repetitive work
- Quality focus: Takes pride in work and catches own errors before submission
- Technical aptitude: Comfortable learning new platforms quickly
- Clear written communication: You'll document processes and interact with clients via email
Nice to Have Skills
- Proven experience with AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, or similar) - not just casual use, but demonstrated ability to engineer effective prompts and build AI-powered workflows
- Digital marketing platform experience: Google Analytics, MailChimp, social media scheduling tools, basic landing page builders
- SEO tools (SEMrush or similar)
- Basic design/layout skills
- Nonprofit sector experience
- Experience with Teamwork, Notion, or similar project management tools
Compensation & Benefits
Hourly rate: $15-20/hour based on experience and demonstrated AI proficiency
Hours: 20 hours per week (potential to increase to full-time based on performance and business need)
Tools provided: Claude Pro, SEMrush, Teamwork, and other necessary software
Schedule flexibility: Remote work with flexible hours; some coordination with Eastern time zone preferred
Working Requirements
Autonomy: After initial training (2-3 page process docs + 1-hour walkthrough), you'll execute independently with minimal oversight. This cycle would repeat until you have been trained thoroughly with the necessary skill sets and processes.
Ramp-up approach: We'll start you at 50-75% capacity and gradually add responsibilities as processes become second nature
Quality bar: Client work goes live with spot-checks, not line-by-line review. You must self-QA.
Communication: Proactive about blockers, transparent about capacity, responsive via Slack during agreed working hours
Success Looks Like (90 days)
You're operating autonomously on 5-7 assigned client accounts
Our Senior Digital Strategist's workload remains sustainable
Client quality is maintained or improved (clients don't notice the transition)
You've documented improvements to at least 3 processes
You're comfortable creating and refining Claude AI projects independently
